Glacis is a clear water-based, transparent glaze for the professional artist or decorative painter. It is an excellent glaze for broken color work (rag, rolling, stippling, marbling, wood graining etc.). Glacis (sometimes called "scumble") produces a transparent, traditional oil appearance without the toxic elements of solvents. Glacis dries to a very hard, durable, water-resistant finish and will not yellow. Best of all, Glacis can be colored using universal Tints, Acrylic tints, Artist colors and Latex Paints. Glacis can be used for both interior and exterior applications. Outstanding washability and scrub resistance, excellent weathering and UV resistance, tremendous adhesion to most surfaces (metal, wood, plastic, glass, ceramic tile).
